Model John Quinlan 682x1024 Mixer and Man Monday

Today for Mixer and Man Monday I’m drinking with hot model and good friend John Quinlan! Drool-worthy, right?

What are we drinking? Long Island Iced Teas of course!

CCWM Long Island Ice Tea s3x4 lg Mixer and Man Monday

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce white rum
  • 1 ounce white tequila
  • 1/2 ounce Triple Sec
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup cola, or to taste
  • 2 lemon wedges

Directions

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the vodka, gin, rum, tequila, Triple Sec, and lemon juice into the shaker. Cover and shake vigorously to combine and chill. Pour the mixture, ice and all, into 2 glasses or beer mugs and top off with the cola. Garnish with lemon wedges. Serve… And then roll around together!

I enjoy Long Island Ice Teas and it’s nice to know what’s finally in it. John’s looking mighty good there and I’m especially lovin’ the tats. Thanks for kicking my Monday off right.

I love Long Island Ice Tea, but am amazed at how many bars don’t get them right. My favorite place to get a Long Island closed last year :-( I’m still looking for a replacement that can not only make my favorite drink, but has a decent atmosphere. If anyone knows of such a place in SW Michigan or NW Indiana, let me know.

I used to work room service in a hotel. We had someone order 3 Long Island iced teas, one at a time. It was great fun looking at how his signature changed drink after drink. We served all 5 shots as one drink.
