I was single for a very long time. I didn’t get married until I was 38 years old. Or should I say young. During my single life I developed a love for a lot of things. Traveling. Great wine. Out door festivals. People watching and television, yes, television. My mother used to say too much television would mess up the brain and destroy cells but I disagreed. At least in my case. My television was my company on many a slow night. When all of my singe friends were at work and the couples were coupling. I had my television. Even now, after being married for eleven years some shows are like best friends. Life just wouldn’t be as fun as it is if I didn’t have my CSI Miami and Adam Rodriguez or Criminal Minds and my number one, Shemar Moore. When those two men smile, take off their shirts or flex their muscles I have to say my chant, ‘I am married, I am married, I am married. Leon, yes that’s his name. Lots of time my best friend (television) is just in the room watching me. It doesn’t mind if I talk back to it, ignore it or yell at it. After all it is one of my best friends.
