“What should I do with you, thief?” Nate gradually removed the blade from her throat and shoved it in his belt.
“I could toss you into the sea or present you to my men. They’ve been without female companionship far too long … as have I.” His cool gaze continued to assess her, and his lips curved into a feral smile.
As Nate circled around her, his eyes raked over her body. Rhaina could practically feel the heat from his gaze caressing every inch of her curves.
He stopped before her and lifted her chin, turning her head one way then the other. Uncomfortable with his examination, Rhaina tried to pull away, but he quickly set his hands upon her waist, sliding them to just beneath her breasts until she held still.
“Perhaps I will keep you for myself.”His husky voice dripped with the promise of sin.
When Nate’s thumbs grazed back and forth across her nipples, they peaked in instant betrayal, becoming visible beneath the thin material of her gate-suit. Sexual chemistry rippled between the two of them.
Rhaina reminded herself that Nate was dangerous, lethal and seriously pissed off—ather. While she couldn’t control her physical response to him, emotionally she would keep her distance.
Rhaina craned her neck to get a better look at his face and found him alluring in a brutal way. His ice-blue eyes were filled with a silent threat … or was it a promise? Midnight black hair fell in ragged waves to his shoulders. “He’s a … a pirate … from the future.”
Rhaina shifted nervously and looked up at him from beneath her lashes. “You won’t be getting the loot back.” She teased her bottom lip between her teeth to keep it from quivering.
“He’s returned to his own time period, the year 2113,” she added,
“So the bastard who stole my gold has returned to the future?” His shrewd gaze zeroed in on her as he considered her explanation. His brows furrowed and a frown formed on his full lips.
“You’re a thief and a liar as well, no doubt. But if a man can disappear …” His voice trailed off and he appeared to be deep in thought.
“Are you going to disappear, Rhaina?” Nate’s calculating gaze locked on hers.
“No. The gateway is closed. I have no way to return.”
A brief flash of sympathy registered in Nate’s eyes, but it quickly dissipated.
“Thieving is punishable by death, but in your case I may come up with a more creative sentence.” The threat in his deep voice was unmistakable, predatory.
“Creative?” Rhaina trembled, knowing all too well the brutal methods of pirate justice. Her insides twisted until she could no longer breathe, and her skin broke out in a cold sweat.
“You owe me for the missing gold.”
“I have nothing to repay you with,” she choked out.
“Yes, you do.” Nate captured a tendril of her hair and wound it around his index finger. One glance into his lust-filled eyes left Rhaina with no doubt that he expected her to pay with her body.

Now Rhaia has to find a way to keep her life and heart intact and find a way back home before Nate Grave finds out that she isn't just a thief, she's a TIME PIRATE.
TIME PIRATE is entertaining and well written. Though mostly erotica/romance by genre, it also blends with fantasy (time travel) and action (pirates) so thoroughly that they can't be separated without destroying the entire story. This story will make time traveling pirates out of all its readers.
The characters voices stay the same throughout and are stronger for it. The best part about TIME PIRATE by Trinity Blake is that the premise is actually believable-- if the technology were available. The idea that, in the future, some type of business will be making money off of lost treasures is completely believable which helps bring the reader deeper into the story. The he villains were a bit cheesy. Quite frankly the fights Rhaia had with the people in the past had more action and emotion to them than her battle with the main villains from her own time.
